In Kontroll, Bulcsú, a withdrawn ticket inspector, lives and works in the Budapest metro system alongside a dysfunctional team of enforcers. An ominous hooded figure stalks the tunnels, while the ticket inspects clash with passengers, rival inspectors, and their nemesis Bootsie. The budapest metro begins to feel like a world unto itself—cut off from time, consequence, and meaning. Blending dark comedy with existential tension, the film explores identity, control, and the unsettling possibility that some people have no way out.
